All Things Art
This is the home of anything artsy! Home decor, music, drawing, anything that requires a creative mind. These posts offer guidance, instructions, suggestions, and helpful tips on how to live a more creative life.
Avoiding Failure
How do you come up with ideas and avoid failure? What is inspiration? These topics are applicable to everything anybody does, but they are especially useful in creative fields. This post is by far my best because it can relate to subjects other than art. Most of my other posts are about learning how to draw or reviewing various apps and books, which is only useful to artists. However, this post teaches those who read it that inspiration is all around us and that all you have to do to find it is look around. Inspiration is everywhere, even on a completely blank wall you've been staring at during Biology. This is by far my best post because I wasn't worrying about attracting an audience when I wrote it, I was only worried about putting what I have learned out there for people to take any way they want. I wasn't focused on just art, I was focusing on every creative person and trying to help them succeed in their endeavors.
Happy arting!

Mood Changer
While I always try to make good quality, interesting posts, I feel that one in particular stands out. Mood Changer is my favourite posts for two main reasons. The first is that I had a lot of fun writing this post. I really love to explain the science behind how our bodies work, and this was a great opportunity to shed some light on seasonal affective disorder, a problem that’s actually quite common in Michigan. I enjoy having the ability to spread awareness for this disorder, because many people have it, and not many people know of it. I would love to provide a source where people can find out what they are experiencing, and get the tools to cope with it.
The second reason I liked it was because it was my most popular post. Normally, I do not care for keeping track of numbers and traffic on my blog, but I monitored the activity of this post. The post’s topic was so important to me that I wanted a lot of people to read my post, and be helped by the information I was trying to get across. I used to be misinformed about this very topic, and that was a dark time in my life. I was very pleased by the quality and quantity of feedback I received the post, and it made me feel as though I’d built new connections with my readers, and helped reassure other people that they were not alone.

The Music or the Misery
Music has made a huge impact on my life. In my post The Music or the Misery, I wrote about just a few of the things music has taught me. My entire blog is dedicated to the music I listen to, but this is the one post that I really showed my passion for it. Using lyrics from different songs by different bands, I was really able to explain how the music I listen to has changed my life for the better. Because of the concerts I go to, my music has allowed me to meet so many people and allowed me to hear about their life and how the same music has impacted them the same way it has me. Although I said that the post was more about what music has taught me personally, I think it is a very relatable post and if not, maybe I was able to teach someone about what music taught me.

My First DIY Bedroom
I feel that my best blog post was about my first DIY bedroom, and the pictures of how it turned out. I initially dedicated my blog to design, but I quickly realized that I didn’t have all that many opportunities to practice these skills, so I expanded my realm of topics into art and organization. But this post reflects my love for design and my favorite project that I’ve taken on. This post attracted the most traffic and the most thoughtful comments on it, so it makes me that much prouder of my hard work and my decision to share it with others. After seeing the success with my room and with the reactions from my blogging about it, I hope to expand my design knowledge and experience so I can share more ideas and accomplishments. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this adventure into blogging and I feel that I have taken it beyond an assignment, so I cannot wait to continue this hobby in the future!

The Reggae Solution
I believe that my best blog post is my post about reggae music. I really feel passionate about music and reggae is one my favorite styles of music. Throughout high school I have learned a lot about substance abuse and how it can affect peoples lives and I thought that I did a good job of using that knowledge to create an interesting and informational post. Music is very powerful and I find it interesting to look deeper into music and find what is that can bring out the emotions of the audience.

Seven vs. Seventeen
My favorite blog post this year is about how goals can change as we grow older. As high schoolers, we are at a point in our lives where we have to start figuring stuff out: Who we are, where we want to go to college, how we’re going to get “there”, etc. In 3rd grade, you probably had a completely different idea of what you wanted to do compared to your plans now. I love music and I will continue to love music. But as I go off to college and learn more about myself, I may find that what I want now is different from my future aspirations. Sometimes, I hope that this is the case and that I become passionate about dentistry or some other concrete occupation with a defined salary. But this is also a great fear of mine. I can’t imagine ever not wanting a job in the music field. At seventeen, I am fairly confident that I know what I want. So, until I decide I don’t want it anymore, I’m gonna go for it.
